International music acts like Ricky Martin and Calle 13 have thrown their support behind a 15-year-old girl who claims she was chastised by her school for refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Enidris Siurano Rodriguez, a sophomore at Damascus High School in Montgomery County in Maryland, has protested U.S. policy on Puerto Rico since she was in seventh grade by silently sitting during the daily Pledge of Allegiance.

Not sure what the issue is. She's not required to support it.

So would be burning the Koran. See what that gets you though.
Freedom of speech only exists for minorities.

Are you a minority?
Are you free to post what you just posted?

They burn Korans at this one church in the south every year (will have to look for a link later), and nobody has banned them from doing it. Persecution complex much?

That's your opinion... she obviously doesn't think it's wrong, and has a right to her opinion too.

I used to omit the word G-d when saying the Pledge in my school, but never made a big deal of it. My family is Jewish, so it wasn't anything against religion - I just felt uncomfortable pledging to my country and The Lord at the same time (and against my will). I was only a kid, and already knew there was something weird about that!
