That's what he does best. I don't know how people cannot see that he is fumbling up there. He has no clue to what he is doing.

Typical.

His entire regime is based on blaming anyone who dares to disagree with him and refuses to genuflect to him.

What a loser.

Sad. The leadership seems really non-existent. How was this attractive enough to be re-elected? I have to seriously worry about the logical thought process (or lack thereof) of half the populace...

Actually...if the Senate can't pass basic, popular bill s, then yes, that's the fault of the Senate. If the Syrian government uses chemical weapons on civilians, then yes, that's the fault of the Syrian government. If republicans are hyping up loony conspiracy theories, then that's their own fault. If congress enacts a budget cut, then they share the blame for the consequences of that cut.

This is another one of those issues republicans seems to be having lately - there 's a difference between taking personal responsibility, and pretending that Mitch McConell's absurd "oppose whatever Obama likes, even if it's my own idea" antics are somehow Obama's fault, or that he can use mind control on Syria's leaders.

First, that's really racist. Second, personal responsibility is a two way street, and no one EVER has suggested that "leaders" should take responsibility for situations that are the responsibility of others outside of their supervision and control--that's really dysfunctional management. Real leaders lay things out the way they are, rather than trying to cover for someone else. If someone else screws up, there's no point in trying to gloss it over--you address the problem directly so it can be fixed and you can move forward.

Exactly. The president just laid out the facts, and the teavangelicals are ticked that he spelled out their complete lack of leadership--they aren't doing the JOB they were ELECTED to do, and they aren't willing to take responsibility for any of it.

Leaders lay things out the way they are and promote a path to move forward. That's what he did. In this country the Executive Branch doesn't control the Legislative Branch--remember? Right now we have a segment of Congress that's refusing to take any responsibility at all for not doing their job--working with both sides for the good of the country.

If it's good news..Obama takes credit.
If it's bad news..Obama finds a scapegoat.
