This is what is coming out of this administration since the election. This is apparently what they feel are the most pressing issues this country has to face.
These are non-economic issues, so easy things to play politics with. The GOP is probably pretty happy with these issues too, since they dont cost anything..no taxes, expenditures or economic regulations involved...and they can play politics with them too.

So you get a lot of political talk from both sides that will also fill up the media and keep people interested, but nothing substantive to peoples daily lives.

Meanwhile our national debt approaces 17 trillion dollars, one out of ever five households is on food stamps, one out of ever six lives in poverty, one out of every four Americans has a job making ten dollars an hour or less, 100 million Americans are on some form of welfare, 88 million people are unemployed. So to fix this we need to import millions of immigrants to add to the welfare roll, take our guns to save the children and rejoice that a lifelong bench warmer in the NBA is gay. Yip friggen yee haw. What a joke.

Yeah. Remember when the Dems used to ***** about the GOP's push on social issues? Said they should simply stick to fiscal issues. Guess that standard doesn't apply to them.

Yet it only took four years for the GOP controlled Congress to not only balance the budget, but also obtain actual surpluses for three consecutive years from 1998 through 2000. The only time in the last century when that has happened before was when the GOP controlled Congress from 1947 through 1950. From 1947 through 1949 there were also three consecutive years of surpluses. Again, thanks entirely to the GOP.

Democrats are utterly insane when it comes to spending taxpayer money. The less opportunity they have to screw up the budget, the better off the nation will be. No rational individual will want to negotiate, much less compromise, with someone who is completely insane.
