It's voluntary socialism. Nothing wrong with it and it works very well most of the time.
Government socialism doesn't work because it involves the threat of force.

But private socialism also uses the power of consequences to get things achieved. It also uses the power of social ostracism as a means of force.

If I were a part of the tolerant left -- where 36% admit that they are bigoted towards Mormons and would never vote for one -- I wouldn't make a big deal about this.
