Both holy books (the Bible and Koran) promote violence and all that other fun stuff. The only difference is that most Muslims interpret their book much more literally than Christians generally do. Christianity has done a decent job of evolving into the modern world, all things considered.

Christianity as a 'religion' may have 'evolved into the modern world', but the true teachings of Christ are the same today as they were they day He spoke them - the Truth never changes.

Every few months the Gallup poll showing that 40% of Palestinians believe that suicide bombings in defense of Islam are sometimes justified. Some people like to use this as evidence that Islam is a violent religion.

However those people forget that that number doesn't compare Muslims to any other religion.
