for a start, I'm not anti-gay, but just anti-SSM - there is a difference!

And, even though 'gay friendly' doesn't specifically mean sex, it is clear that most single gay men will be looking to obtain this at the said location.

So why not list the girlie bars as well, where straight men can also get sex.

Or is there something wrong with that?

So why does the guidebook tell us where we can find a 'gay, male only, leather fetish club' , but not tell us where a single man can hook up with a girl?

Double standard.

What guide book are you discussing? I would need to read the book to see if you are making crap up.

I can say I saw a book that said anything I want. But without others being able to see the book for themselves there is no reason for them to believe what I say is true.

So give me a title, I will look it up, and see if what you are saying is true.

There is one listing under gay and lesbian.

There are also
7 under bar
2 under bar/theme
5 cinema
5 live music
3 music
2 entertainment
2 swanky
1 blues/jazz
1 classical music
1 club
1 cultural tour
1 dance.
8 other.

Looks like they sorted nightlife into different types of clubs.

Are you upset that they also sorted restaurants into different types?
It just makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

If you'll tell me what guide you are referring to I'll get a copy from the library so I can address this question.

The better question is, why does this bother you so much? Most of us would just glance past this without so much as a second thought. It bothered you enough to post a thread about it.

You want to pick up somebody? Check into the hotel, go to the bar next door. You'll find what you are looking for. True all over the world including the US.

already posted that a couple back.

but also, where I live right now, I know for a fact that the bar listed in the gay section has male prostitutes working there.

This bar is listed, but hetero pick up joints are not.

So why is it ok to pay for gay sex, but not hetero?

That is seriously messed up

Check many well known guide books and they will all tell you where the gay clubs, bars, and hotels are, but no info whatsoever on where heteros can go to get some action.

That's absurd really - like it's ok to have gay sex but not hetero. Weird.

At my local hotel there is a sign on the door stating 'No Sex travellers' (meaning you cannot take back female escorts), yet it is listed as 'gay friendly'.

Gay friendly essentially means 'good place for single guys to go to meet men'

So why one rule for the gays, but another for the heteros?

That is all back to front.
You are whining because you can't take whores back to the youth hostel ?? Kinda bold aren't ya.
