Again, HOW & WHY would a gun have done a bit of difference while those citizens were LOCKED in their houses? Maybe this time you could actually answer it in a logical manner instead of snidely remarking.

It would have made one hell of a difference to a person if this nut had decided to break into a house when he was running from the Police. Desperate people do these things like this you know. And he probably would kill you while you are dialing 911. If you think you are always safe "behind locked doors" you are living in a fantasy world.

And how does this Wayne idiot know or not know that the citizens had guns at home? Don't you understand how completely ridiculous his statement is?

How exactly does that work, do neighbors start patrolling their property with guns drawn or do you wait for the knock on the door.

I can make a good argument for wearing a seat belt, checking your smoke alarm, etc, the odds of a terrorist coming to your house are less than being hit by lightning or having martians attack your home.

Here's what's "spot on": tough-talking NRA gun carriers did nothing to stop this guy. When a dangerous person like this gets on the loose, it's generally the police who have to do all the hard work and get the guy off the streets so that he can no longer continue to threaten society. So, to Wayne LaPierre and the rest of you anti-police / pro-gun folks: thanks for nothing, and since you're not part of the solution, just shut up.

One more time - gun control is not about disarming citizens.

I thought the same thing when I heard that transparently self-serving statement. Was he trying to suggest to America (firearms customers) that everyone in Boston was cowering behind locked doors, defenceless without a weapon, and sorry that they hadn't bought any guns as NRA leadership always advised them to do? If so, who believed him?

Yep, he understands what he's doing. He has a horde of borderline, paranoid individuals who are easily manipulated and will believe nearly anything they are told.

Yes. It appears that exactly none of the people in that neighborhood where he was caught needed guns to protect themselves.

What I find particularly amusing is this idea presented by some of you geniuses that gun "enthusiasts" will be the ones out hunting down criminals or terrorists when they come to your neighborhoods. You'll be where you usually are, cowering in the corner, fondling your guns in absolute fear of everything.

The NRA is in the business of selling guns, they could care less about anything else.
