It's because they fear that it is a gateway drug as in on to coke and meth. Also opponents are uncomfortable over marijuana often found when a criminal is arrested. Opponents don't understand the fact that marijuana is banned makes it attractive for the criminal minded to try to make money selling it.

I agree with ya.

Clearly no one opposed to it has given a solid reason why they are opposed to it thus far in the thread.

Should there be derogatory names for people who casually drink alcohol?

I'd love it. Maybe then more people wouldn't be so uptight all the time.

Prohibition didn't work back then and it doesn't work today.

Repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results, is insanity!

Good luck Ohio!

ANY place that locks people in cages and wrecks their lives because they like the effects they get from a bowl of cannabis, or who gain medicinal benefit from cannabis has no standing to critisize any other countries human rights record and has forsaken the very type of belief's that the founders had.

Government shouldnt be able to tell me what I can and cant digest or breathe.

Sadly, the "small government" proponents cant seem to get that through their heads.
