I suppose he should be more like Republicans. Just say no, no, no, no, no, no, no, wash, spin, rinse, repeat until you are blue in the face.
Well, his job is to get things done. A bit of butt kissing comes with that. As does some ball busting. He did some of that last week, over the gun bill.
I wish the republicans would stop being such d-bags, but I think the president has to try to be an ambassador, even if most of the time it is scorned. Balance of powers.

I'd say that reaching out to moderates on the other side is PART OF HIS JOB and I'm pleased to see him do it.

When did Obama ever say, "It's my way or the highway?" Like never.
And yet, if he didn't make any effort to build relationships with the other side, then you folks would be complaining that he never makes any attempt to build bridges or communicate with the republicans. It really doesn't matter what Obama does or doesn't do. With certain people, it will always be a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't when it comes to this president.
