Who are you quoting? I couldn't find that quote anywhere in the OP, so are you quoting another poster other than the OP?
Western Canada is also very beautiful, but when I say Northwest, I mean Oregon and Washington, which are two of the most beautiful states in this country.

I agree.

He already lives in a liberal state - why not continue his crusade to save America from liberalism in another enemy held territory?
Names don't mean much. I like to look at substance. And when you actually look at the USSR, you see a authoritarian socialist state.
And you're from Chicago?
lolololol.

What are some good places for liberals to live since they don't like America:
They could just roll across the border to Canada, unfortunately, guns are legal in Canada. So that won't work.
Scandanavian countries sure are nice, unfortunately for American liberals, these nations tend to have evil, diabolical tax subsidized national Christian churches. Norway has offshore drilling and many of these countries have school vouchers: I'm not sure liberals could live in that sort of environment. And finally, a lot of these Scandanavian people are starting to call for immigration restrictions, and are starting to pass laws to prevent illegal immigration. No liberal in this country would dare support such a thing.
Of course, liberals could look into a country like Germany, unfortunately, Germany is business friendly and even their center left governments don't share their poor business record.
Where should liberals live?
I've got the perfect place for liberals: The United States.
And I've got the perfect place for wingnuts: Afghanistan, preferably the Waziristan region near Pakistan.
I would say it is best you wait until U.S. force leave the region, lest you get confused for the Taliban. I know I make that mistake here all the time myself. I hope you like the mountains and are not averse to the taste of both goat meat and goat milk. I'm sure you'll make lots of new friends once you get there. I think the Tea Party and the Taliban can merge as one big, happy group some day. Best wishes!
What's your point? Chicago roughly means "place that smells bad" or "onion patch." The former has some truth to it, I suppose. But I'm still not seeing the correlation.
If you're referring to the authoritarian socialist thing, then yes Chicago is fairly authoritarian in many ways. But luckily I don't live in the city itself.
Cuba: Cuba is one of the most Socialist nations, as it has a mostly state-run economy, universal healthcare, government-paid education at all levels, and a number of of social programs. It does not have a stock exchange.
North Korea: The same is true of North Korea, which has an almost entirely state-run economy, as well as the same social programs mentioned for Cuba. Like Cuba, North Korea does not have a stock exchange.
Venezuela: Economy has more private ownership, but the government social programs are quite extensive and the foreign policy is very left-wing. Cuban doctors and teachers have been brought to Venezuela to provide some medical and educational services.
China: A substantial part of the economy is still state-run, although there are not as many social programs as there once were and universal healthcare has been eliminated. Still has a Socialist-type foreign policy, for the most part.
Vietnam: A significant part of the economy is state-run. Close ties with Cuba, Venezuela, and Belarus.
Syria: Although not commonly referred to as Socialist in the West, Syria has a mostly state-run economy and universal healthcare, along with a left-wing foreign policy.
Belarus: Much of the Belarussian economy is state-run and some govt. social programs are available. Belarus has close ties with Venezuela, China, and other Socialist countries.

Chicago, in Cook County, was the second county founded in Illinois (behind Peoria County) and was originally a dumping ground for ships on Lake Michigan, hence, the meaning of the name. The Gold Coast is now one of the most valuable stretches of real estate in the world. Also, strangely enough, another former dump was Waikiki Beach on Oahu, which also turned into an extremely valuable stretch of real estate.
In that case, I don't hate America, I actually love my country, especially the Northwest. But if I had to pick a country other than the US, it would probably be the Netherlands.

So let me get this straight, you consider liberalism the enemy, but you love living in liberal states? I guess some of us enjoy always fighting and hating everything around one's self. And I am only saying you "hate" the people of the West Coast because you consider liberalism to be your enemy and not often do people love their enemies.
