They don't report them back home either -- one reason Mexico's crime rate is so out of control is that no one reports crime. Any time there's a murder in Juarez for example, it likely won't be solved because no one saw anything, no one heard anything. The same complacency that brought down their own country and made it so horrible that they could only flee to the USA is why they won't report crime here.

I somewhat agree. The Mexicans don't trust the police because back home their police are corrupt.
It's the culture from which they came.

Probably more noticeable in the border states that have a larger percentage of undocumented Democrats.

No - this discussion already occurred when it was proposed that police officers can check immigration status under certain circumstance. Most people with a bit of foresight concluded that immigrants would stop reporting crimes or legally bearing witness for fear of being questioned and becoming involved in some legal situation where they have to lengthily proof that they are legal - with all the repercussions for one's life and job.

Then, there are those who lacked such foresight...

It won't change though even after amnesty is passed.
The culture in Mexico is to distrust the police because they are so meshed in with the drug cartels.

Isn't it odd though that it only happens in immigrant communities that are mostly Hispanic? Why is that. This isn't a problem in El Cajon where it's mostly immigrants from Iraq or in Miramar where it's Asian immigrants.

In otherwords they won't report crimes because either they themself are here illegally or some one they know is. I guess we should just stop enforcing our immigration laws then because crimes by same won't be reported?

Guys, if you are sick of this nonsense, report them! Those two do it to us all the time.

Turnabout is fair play.
