They argument against what you said is simple, how do you know they were overspending ? couldnt they have very well been under spending and by cutting the amount per student, be making it worse ?
No business has ever cut the cost of goods to its customers because the business had more money. Businesses slash prices to gain more customers or to bait someone into buying one good on sale and buy its complementary goods at a full price (exp. TV is on sale, but the remote,DVR are full priced.).
You have a flawed understanding of the basics of business.
You are evidently the product of an education system that overspent.

I am the product of actually understanding of economics and business through a college education and a work place experience. You seem to be the product of FOX News.
Those teachers with their $30,000 retirements and their 2002 Nissans, they're a real problem.
According to Walker and his teabagger brethren.
What about the Madison bus driver that made $159,000 a year?
Make no mistake, Wisconsin does have some union entrenchment issues....trying to strawman the entire argument to be poor poor teachers is incredibly dishonest.
That doesn't include any extra pay from coaching and other extras....plus whatever can be earned in summer activities.
What's especially funny though is that Rahm Emanuel is also after the Unions, specifically the teachers union in Chicago and the Chicago economy is close in size to that of Wisconsin. However, we only hear outrage over Walker and nary a peep about Emanuel. I guess it doesn't serve the left and rights dishonest political agendas.
P.S. Why don't you show us from a valid source what a typical teacher retirement package is in WI. I'd wager it's around 50k a year plus medical....so over double the 30k number you are extracting from you hindquarters.
Seems like Wisconsin residents are tired of having the 5th highest total tax burden of any state.
Talk about being out of touch with the voters tax angst....you have a typically blue state that went heavily Obama....and yet they have chosen Walker. Twice.

You call yourself "mathguy" yet you try to present an anecdote as a trend.

Present the data yourself if that's what you want to see.
Unions, pay, pensions. It doesn't matter when you don't have enough revenue to pay the bills does it ?
