i don't think it is reasonable to expect others to hunt down the sources you quoted.

The funny part of that quote is that it basically states it targets any political group, liberal and conservative.
Not only do we know that they did something that has politicians from both sides condemning it also shows a contempt for the Constitutional principle of innocent until proven guilty.

Now, if they aren't targeting liberals and conservatives equally, ok , that's a problem.
But that's not the OP's argument. The OP's argument seems to be : "Groups who educate citizens on the Constitution and Bill of Rights are so obviously not political groups, that it is offensive for the IRS to even check." The OP acts as if it were beyond the pale that these types of groups be considered "political."

Lots of different groups get audited, it isn't really that big of a deal...maybe a little bit of a pain, but that is it. I have worked for a company that has been audited once. They came in, went through the bookkeeping and left.
You guys act like this is the first time anyone has ever been audited.
You really don't get it do you? Groups were not just being aduited! We all know we can be audited, we all didn't know IRS could "target" people. Come on you people really must be smarter and know the difference!
As it ends up nobody because there was nothing wrong being done. (luckily for us all courts don't work like they do in Chicago) As we have seen by the presidents senior adviser though, they still were guilty and had to be stopped.
They were targeted simply for the fact that they were outraising left leaning groups.

Where do you see "the presidents senior adviser" declaring someone guilty?
This is political intimidation of conservative groups during the election. Targeting jewish, targeting conservatives. Just think if they targeted African American groups, there would be outrage on the left but instead this will get the Benghazi treatment.
