So sad, so very sad. I sure am glad I am not steeped in the same negativity you are.
On the contrary, the post (#11) was spot on.

Living in other countries can be quite nice. It certainly can be different. It is an experience that more Americans should try if they ever have the opportunity.

Health care in many other countries is far more advanced than most Americans realize. And generally is on a par with that available in the US.

Perhaps to you guys, but us real Americans love it here, wouldn't live anywhere else, and experience NONE of the doom-and-gloom aspects of life set forth by the Ozzie boy. Perhaps you guys should upgrade your life a few dozen steps up the ladder of life. As far as spot on, all it was was a black spot on his life's record.

Perhaps you should redirect your comments to Obama, the source of the problem.

Nope, its a widespread thing. Age discrimination in the US work world has been around long before Obama.

He's not worried, this was his only option. Two years ago he had an accident and incurred almost $500,000 in medical costs. He lost his home. A 64 year old Vietnam Veteran that spent well over 30 years working for the State of Idaho and now he has to stay with friends and go out of the country for medical. It's pathetic.

I manage to take care of myself just fine. I agree this is a poor country to live in if you wish to be taken care of.
