The point is not to shut these garment factories down. The textile industry accounts for 45 % of all industrial employment in Bangladesh. The workers, mostly women, need those jobs to survive. The point is that there need to be some safety standards put into place to avoid these recurring disasters and loss of life.

We shouldn't tolerate corporate terrorism any more than we do political terrorism.
