Unfortunately we're only full citizens if we live outside of PR. Everyone that moves to PR loses the right to vote in POTUS general elections if they make PR their primary residence. But, AFAIK, everyone born in PR is not a 14th Amendment citizen like the rest of America is. So, that makes me not one.
The ignorance and obvious racism, exemplified in the post above, are why Puerto Ricans know the Republican Party hates them. Of course they won't vote for racist bigots who hate them and you have no one to blame but yourselves.
Of course, you would say racism. That is the only way to say it when you have no information to back up. Puerto Rico is WORTHLESS, I didn't say anything about skin color. I mean really? Anytime someone brings up race card when they have no information to back up are the true racists. You should be ashamed to say that.
I guess you haven't been to Puerto Rico, it's only good for vacation. 1/3 of Puerto Rico Food Stamps? No thanks, we don't need anymore of that into a state.

Makes no difference if PR was a state or not when it comes to food stamps. Still gonna get food stamps one way or another. Only difference would be PR would be counted into the official statistics, that's it.

I know but this thread is about food stamps, I didn't want to bring up other stuff as it could be off-topic.

If they were independent, they could finance their own Food Stamp program
And yet Puerto Rico has the highest standard of living -- above all the Spanish speaking nations. So why is it that so many are insisting we become a Spanish speaking nation?
The USA, Canada and Barbados are the 3 nations in the western hemisphere with the highest standards of living, incidently they are the English speaking nations.

No one is insisting on any country becomming a Spansih speaking nation...it is happening organically. No need for offical status
Just say "Yo no hablo espanol." And move on with your life, "massive illegal immigration by Hispanics" aren't forcing you to do anything. Which, what is this obsession with Mexicans, and how can you tell an illegal from a legal Mexican?
