From Yahoo News - "WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative's top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news."
Govt obtains wide AP phone records in probe

I think this administration is losing their minds. Spying on the AP? Turning on one of the mainstays of the MSM? What a glorious turf war this is going to start.

Oh, this is going to be a lovely mess. I can hardly wait.

The AP has helped Obama immensely - why on Earth would Obama bite the hand that feeds him?

WTH?!?! And yet, the AP will continue to be a mouth piece for the left, watch. This entire Administration is so damn corrupt. And that Holder, running one of the worst DOJ's ever.

CNN doesn't have anything on it YET, but here is FOXNews per the AP: Justice Department secretly obtained AP phone records | Fox News

The Government has not as of yet said why they were spying on the AP.

From the article:

In a letter of protest sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt said the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation. He demanded the return of the phone records and destruction of all copies.

"There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP's newsgathering operations, and disclose information about AP's activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know," Pruitt said.

I wish him luck in trying to get any honest information out of this administration. Then again as noted they were a part of the reason why the administration doesn't believe they are answerable to anyone.

Scumbag Obama is looking for anything (Illegal IRS Targeting, AP Phone Probe Records, etc.) that will get rid of the Benghanzi murder cover-up and corruption.

Let's see, who's been leaking to who about what lately?

This one bold, bad-a$$ attempt to intimidate both the press and any potential leakers. Holder and Company are saying "We will get you".

The wheels keep coming off this administration.
