If Americans had the option thru referendum the chance to vote whether becoming a Christian state or not with no specific sect/denomination; how would you vote?

Please keep in mind that it is Christianity, and think how other countries lifestyle is who have official state religion before making your judge.

Some nations, like Iran, became an Islamic state thru referendum. For them was to bring back morality, family rights and quality.

Currently nation with official state religion (Christianity): Alsace-Moselle, Argentina, Costa Rica, Liechenstein, Malta, Monaco, Vatican City, Greece, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, England, Scotland, and Tavalu. Nations with special recognition of Christianity: Andorra, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, and Spain.

Hahaha! That's a big NO from this agnostic. I get enough religion just from living here, I don't need to give credibility to any of it by giving them "official" status.

I voted NO.

I just blew the minds of those who mistakenly think of me as the "American Taliban" and call me such.

Oh, well.

Maybe they will learn to more logical, rational, and learn how to think critically.

Wait - my detractors are liberals - that is a tall order.

LOL.

Don't you realize that if this ever happened, the various Christians sects/denominations would be at each others' throats within a few milliseconds? It would make the Thirty Years' War look like a minor skirmish.

Absolutely NOT. The less religion in our lives the better.

It's rather disturbing that 3 people have voted YES on this.

It would be interesting to know why they did.
