Toronto was once called "Toronto the good".....There was no shopping and the bars were closed on Sunday. It was a day of peace. It was so peaceful you could take a nap on main street on a Sunday evening. People would stroll stress free on Sundays....it was NICE...Now in our consumer driven society there is not one day of rest from the coercive power of buying and selling. When they killed Sunday it had the effect of de-civilizing the city.
I thought it was the immigrants and the gays who "de-civilized" your city. Now it's the ability to shop on Sundays?
Whether you respect the concept of holy or not....What's wrong with designating one day as HOLY? ONE single day when all the pressure is removed and we can be casual and rest...It was a very good thing. Traditionally Sunday in my life will always be Sunday....I love it...some Sundays I don't even get dressed.
So stay home and rest. Nobody is stopping you. Other folks have things to do, places to go and people to see.
You are the ONLY Christian sect out or over 30,000 who keep the Sabbath on Saturday like the Jews.
You should convert to Judaism as well.....

False. There are hundreds of Sabbath keeping Christian groups. Do your research.
Blue laws are anti capitalism and make zero sense, no one is stopping you from sitting around doing nothing on a Sunday, why would you want to prevent business owners from making money on Sundays?
Correct. We don't need government telling us when we can work or when a business can operate.
Just look at what's happened to "Black Friday" over the past 3 years.
Stores are now open at noon on Thanksgiving Day with "Black Friday" goodies for folks that just can't wait.
And each year the openings get earlier and earlier. This is recent history folks.
Yes. Bergen County residents are one example. Ask any retail worker, they would all love getting Sundays off.
Many of my coworkers who are feeling the pressure of the downturn have taken to night and weekend additional work in retail, on top of 9-5 office jobs. I think they would beg to differ on your "ask any retail worker" quip.
Mississippi is funny. The commissioner can grant entire towns "resort status" that allows Sunday sales. abc hours of sale
This means that I can't buy a beer on Sunday in my county, but I can drive 15 minutes down the road and it's perfectly legal.
