OK, the latter part of the title is somewhat over the top, but you get what I mean.

Modern fiscal conservatism seems to be founded on the idealistic assumption that all (I'm using all not entirely literally) rich people deserve to be rich, and all poor people (even the children!) deserve to be poor. If this is the case, then how do you explain the fact that Obama is richer than you'll ever be?

He's richer than your parents, who, if you haven't had a falling out with, you probably believe to be hard working, honest folk, certainly better than the Eeevvill Socialist Marxist Dictator. So why is Obama rich? Doesn't the fact that he's rich mean that he's superior, in terms of both perseverance and moral integrity?

What about news reports of homeless persons who perform heroic acts? How does this mesh with your little world view?

Obama loves rich people too, he golfs with them, goes to social events with them, rubs elbows them. so don't act like liberal dems don't love rich people.

It's conservatives who see the potential in all people to do well, and it's libs who look down t on the poor, and think the poor will always be poor, and will always need liberals in government to wipe their noses.

... "little world view"... that's all we need to know about your sincerity on this topic.

You don't know what conservatism is, and don't care... why bother?

I believe in equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

Doesn't inheritance make equal opportunity impossible without social legislation? Do rich kids not inevitably receive better schooling, better health care, larger financial backing, etc.?

I'm sorry, can you weed out your pretentious trolling and actually ask a straight forward question?

conservatives don't believe in equal opportunity.

There is no way that conservatives believe that all US citizens all have the exact same or even similar opportunities.

In fact equality of outcome is tied into equality of opportunity.

If the people born poor and stay poor and the people born rich stay rich, then your society isn't providing an equality of opportunity because of that society's outcomes.

In fact, the greatest predictor of a man's income is the income of his father when he was born, that is not a society in which equality of opportunity is prevalent.

Yet conservatives don't actually discuss how you measure equality of opportunity or what they do to ensure that it exists for all citizens.

In case if one's reading comprehension were impaired:

If rich people are largely successful by merit, and poor people unsuccessful by justice, and Obama is a socialist marxist whatever, explain why Obama is rich and plenty of heroes are poor.

Obama grew up relatively poor in a broken home raised by his grandparents only to attend an extremely expensive Ivy league college and eventually became the POTUS. How does that mesh with your little world view?

You would think that with the well established concepts of prey, predators and parasites one would bother to distinguish between those who possess wealth against those who create it.

So if lions are getting their lion's share of Zebra we are going to just tax anything that looks like a Zebra? Real smart....
