And now with Pakistan added to the equation, the juggling must be nearly impossible in the White House.

Ten years ago, 1997, things things looked very different.

There is so many ways the Middle East is heading all at once right now that it makes ones head spin. It seriously looks as though it is falling apart in the most general of a sense. Iran and Egypt seeking nuclear ambitions, Pakistan a current nuclear power on the verge of collapse and currently regressing into an oubliette. Iraq might as well be written off as having any form of stability in the next 5 years. OPEC heading out of US petro dollars and into Euro's. The emergence of Russia and China's influence in the region. The further isolation of Israel. Afghanistan turning out record opium crops and the reemergence of the Taliban. Makes a person really hope that someone knows just what the heck they are doing.

With a hawk in the sky, not even a white dove will help...that is unless the dove morphs into an eagle.

In a strange way, it may be a blessing in disguise that economic tough times lay ahead. When money is tight, the focus tends to shift closer to home.

Perhaps! But this time it may not be in our hands...other forces have gained strength while we have whittled away our inheritance.

I posted a link yesterday about how scary things were appearing in Iran. Personally, I think it's all leading up to Biblical predictions. ~ Mad-man from the East; ~ Earth being destroyed by fire.....

I'm not trying to sound like a dooms-dayer ~ truly I'm not. But it just all fits, IMO.

Yes but we do not inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

I never shy away from adversity as it is in those times in which we grow the most, and in the coming days, we as a country will be faced with making some tough choices. The race between the notion being able to do something and being able to afford to do something is fast at hand. The clock is running out on the current administration, which can go one of two ways. Into quiet ignominy or in a clamorous attempt at a fools glory. I hope circumstances dictate the former instead of the latter.

Are you of the opinion that the Nancy Pelosi House will allow a strike against Iran? So far, she and her liberal friends have done nothing they said they would concerning Iraq, so is there confidence in them being a filter for Iran?

Huh? Nancy Pelosi has no say in whether we bomb a country or not. The Decider has made that perfectly clear.

What do people think Iran's response would be if we launched a large bombing strike agianst them?

Do people think Iran will see the error of its ways and bow down before the compassionate strength of the United States?

Or perhaps will we increase anti-US sentiment amonst the general Iran population, and Muslims all round the world? Would our actions cause more terrorists to take up arms against us?

Does anyone think Iran would decide to go in and formally engage our troops in Iraq?

Yeah, then Hillary gets to play the fool. But the media will pretend it isn't happening. It'll be the old "if a tree falls in the forest and Christiane Amanpour doesn't cover it, did it really fall?" syndrome.

It will lead to what this corrupt administration thinks will be best for its bank accounts. They dont care about the rest of us, or who dies needlessly in whatever war they feel like starting.
