Do we plan to refund all the money workers contributed to these "socialist programs" ?
After all we didn't have a choice regarding FICA withheld.
And neither did employers.

So just end the program, borrow or print up money and refund all living Americans the amount they put in plus 3% interest over the years and also give back employers what they had to contribute to FICA.

Yes, over a long period of time. Both programs should be eliminated or at least made self funding at some point. We should not cut any benefits for people over 55 or 60.

Why not ? People today will get back less then they paid in.
Give them back the money and let them get immediate annuities and an income for life without the threat of government cuts.

Neither SS nor Medicare are Socialist programs. We pay into those programs all our working lives.
