Just keep in mind that when you are poking at Israel GOD has declared that region as HIS and the apple of his eye. There is a piece of land where God has placed finger and declared it as His.
Everything you see over there is a physical manifestation of the spiritual war that is raging behind the scenes. The wars will not subside until JESUS returns to put an end to the rebellion. According to the Word, sinful Man will be at the verge of destroying ourselves prior to the Israelites recognizing Jesus as their Messiah calling upon His name to return. When that happens, all enemies will be put under His feet and there will be peace universally.
After reading about how the early immigrants in the 1900s were sold worthless land by the locals, who then transformed those lands into gardens and orchards, I wonder how much of the "hatred" of Israelis is based on envy and covetousness, as well as seller's remorse.
Modern agriculture developed in the late nineteenth century, when Jews began settling in the land. They purchased land which was mostly semi-arid, although much had been rendered untillable by deforestation, soil erosion and neglect. They set about clearing rocky fields, constructing terraces, draining swampland, reforesting, counteracting soil erosion, and washing salty land. Since independence in 1948, the total area under cultivation has increased from 408,000 acres (1,650 km2) to 1,070,000 acres (4,300 km2), while the number of agricultural communities has increased from 400 to 725. Agricultural production has expanded 16 times, three times more than population growth.
Thanks to cutting-edge technology, Israel not only produces most of its own food, but also exports $1.3 billion worth of agricultural produce annually. This includes farm products as well as some $1.2 billion worth of agricultural inputs and technology sold overseas every year. Israeli farmers and scientists have had to contend with a difficult environment and limited water resources...
THOSE EVIL FARMERS... THEY MADE THE DESERT BLOOM ... TAKE BACK THOSE LANDS!
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.
"The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live."

I want to express my opinion ... but I want very much not to sound disrespectful or contemptuous.
The above opinions, in my view, are inane and worthless. The average Israeli and the average Palestinian both would giggle over these supernatural and archaic theories. It's the stuff of hocus pocus, crystal balls, tarot cards and Santa Claus.
Listen, guys ... you're entitled to your religious beliefs but the Jews do not rely on Ha Shem nor did the Arabs rely on Allah ... they are both grounded in facts and reality.
The Israelis have proved time after time they are willing to negotiate and make concessions.
If by "negotiate" and "make concessions" you mean "slaughter civilians by the thousand" you're actually saying something accurate. See Lebanon and Gaza if you need examples.
Also LOL at anyone thinking there will ever be peace in the Middle East. It's impossible, war is just a part of the cultures in that region.
The ONLY nation in the Middle East that isn't blood thirsty is Israel, they only kill in self defense, and they only target terrorists and aggressive military bases. They don't target civilians like their Arab and Persian neighbors do.
Nor do they hide behind their own citizens (women and children) for cover when the shooting starts. They don't put rockets in schools, hospitals and old folks homes and then fire from those locations like cowards knowing that they're bringing death to the doorsteps of those they hide behind.
I'm reminded of that one kid in the neighborhood that would run into his house at the first sign of personal trouble and scream out the open window calling you names or telling you how he could kick your butt.
You can't be serious. Look at that date on the first map. The second map says "around the time of Saul and David". What relevance do those ancient maps have on the world of today?
What don't you get. The land is sort of in the correct place. The Gaza strip has no Jews. The Arabs are in full control of the area including their own infrastructure, their own court system, their own police department, their own military. The only problem is that THEY don't play well with others. They fire rockets at Israeli farmers indiscriminately on one side and build tunnels on the other side to enter Egypt and steal merchandise from them. Why do you think Egypt is blowing up tunnels? Do you really think its the so-called infiltrators? Its to bring an end to a Black Market economy that is built on the back of Egyptians.
As to the relevance, most of Israel is sitting in the same region. So if Israel is right then so can Philtia be right too.
Keep in mind, only in American English are they called Palestinians. In Arabic they are Felestia.

And Gaza? Hamas started that war by firing 1000's of rockets into Israel from launchers inside of city limits. Israel went after the hot spots left by the launchers by firing missiles at the hot spots in civilians areas. And once these launches were made, then by logic civilians would flee from the area knowing full well what was coming back. There was no slaughter, most of the Arabs that died were Hamas employees of their own military. The low Israeli death toll is due to Israeli's not being stupid and doing a full feet on the ground response.
