Now that Obama has mastered the health insurance system, and wowed us with his devotion to all, should a nationwide helmet law be put in place?
After all, we'll all be chipping in to pay for this awesome healthcare for all, and people flying around on bikes unprotected is almost as dangerous as smoking in a bar isn't it?
If it was up to me I'd make it mandatory for posters here at CD to wear helmets. The libbies at least.

Like smokers, I want motorcycle riders to die as soon as possible. Let's combine the two: you must smoke while riding a motorcycle and NO helmet.

Well, it's pretty hard to smoke while wearing a helmet.

Jerry Seinfeld - Helmets - YouTube

"The only thing dumber than the helmet is the helmet law. The point of which is to protect a human brain that is functioning so poorly, it's not even trying to protect the head that it's in."

Helmet laws interfere with natural selection.

Congrats on the dumbest comment so far this week. You've really outdone yourself.

Yes helmet laws are necessary and in the same spirit, I think non-slip flower petals should be mandatory in all bath tubs and shower stalls.

Easy my man.

I was going to start a thread on which branch of the military, if any, can hand Obama a pair of mittens if it gets too cold but Umbrellagate erupted and I took my smarta$$ over here.

I'm willing to put my full support behind dropping helmet laws if there is a simultaneous requirement that Hog riders may no longer wear leather chaps.

Oh, and they have to put the goddamned baffles back, too.
