Please if you wish explain your feelings on your poll decision.~

The poll itself is only for those who identify as females who are age 18 and over, but every one is encouraged to discuss this topic if they wish.~

I don't care, I have never found "girl" offensive.

I am a woman and prefer to be called a woman.
Really hate the use of female it sounds like COPS.
I don't refer to the guys I am attracted to as boys.

This poll is discriminatory to transgenders.

What if Harrier feels like a woman?

I use "females" in this case, because this topic is a poll and discussion of terminology regarding females of age 18 and over.~

I am quoting the very first post of mine:

Please notice that I said "is only for those who identify as females who are age 18 and over", the key words here are "those who identify as females".~

So no, this poll is NOT "discriminatory to transgenders", but is in fact the opposite and welcomes the input of transgenders as well.~

[MOD CUT/off topic]

I am female, 53. I couldn't find an answer that fit though. In some situations, I'm fine with "girl." In others, I'm fine with "woman." I refer to myself as both on different occasions. Sometimes I even refer to myself as a chick. That would depend on who I'm speaking to, and the context. I once had a boss who introduced me to people as "my gal." I was in my early 30's at the time, and he was a 60-something-year-old "genteel" Kentucky man who became the VP of a New England dairy company. I thought it was the awesomest, most adorable thing in the world for him to call me that and it always made me smile.

I used to watch go-go women in the sixties.
