Watergate resulted in criminal convictions of 25 of Nixon's closest friends and cabinet members, he had wiretaps of the Watergate hotel placed in the White House.
Woodward used that as an example, he did not "compare".
Anyone that would compare Benghazi to Watergate has some severe mental problems, such as the OP and the congressman that indicated this would be Iran-Contra and Watergate multiplied by two.
Pack you bags scumbag Obama and make way for POTUS Joe Biden
Your boner for Obama is going to sorrily disappointed. The comparison of Benghazi to Watergate is nonexistent. In Watergate Nixon committed misdeeds and broke laws. On Benghazi, there is no hint of any misdeeds. The worst Obama's detractors have is that there was word-smithing, which is not an impeachable offense. After nine investigations that are being furiously fanned by Issa, there is nothing but smoke and no fire.
Woodward "If you read through all these e-mails, you see that everyone in the government is saying, 'Oh, let's not tell the public that terrorists were involved, people connected to al Qaeda. Let's not tell the public that there were warnings."
Dementia must be a tough thing to go through, because apparently Woodward has completely forgotten the story that made him famous.

Excellent story on PBS today regarding their decision to provide complete coverage of the Watergate Hearings as they thought it was important. I miss the days (1973) 0f Sam Ervin and Howard Baker when party politics took a backseat to getting at the truth, tremendous respect for both parties and PBS.
Quote:
JIM LEHRER, 1973: We are running it all each day because we
think these hearings are the important and because we think it is important that
you get a chance to see the whole thing and make your own judgments. Some
nights, we may be in competition with a late, late movie. We are doing this as
an experiment, temporarily abandoning our ability to edit, to give you the whole
story, however many hours it may take.
