Black kids in the US don't matter as much to the general public as white kids. It's an unacceptable fact I keep getting proven to me over and over again.
Just a couple of weeks ago a beautiful 1-year old little boy named Bryeon disappeared, supposedly abducted, in Chicago. The story was mentioned on the news that night, about fifteen minutes into the broadcast after stories of flight cancellations and returning soldiers. The story was given about a minute. The same amount of time and priority was given to the story the next day when it was reported that the abduction didn't happen and they were now looking for little Bryeon's body. The mother and her boyfriend later admitted to beating the baby and leaving him on the floor to die whereby they dumped his body in the Des Plaines river.
This is a horrific, unspeakable crime done to a tiny baby. One would think it would be front page news, but it isn't. Surprisingly little attention has been paid to this baby murder in the local media and even less in the national media. The same was true last summer when 7-year old Heaven was shot and killed while standing near her home selling candy. Heaven's murder was reported the day it happened and that was about it.
It's a very different story when something happens to a white child, locally or elsewhere. A couple of years ago a white student of the fancy New Trier High School was hit by a car driven by another student and severely hurt. It was the top story in Chicago for days. Friends and family of both victim and driver was interviewed and the condition of the girl updated frequently. Even non-local stories of murdered or missing white children get a lot of coverage on our local news yet I can't think of a single time I've heard of a non-local black child who's missing or killed. Do black children not go missing? Every so often our national media gets swept up in constant coverage of the murder or disappearance of a child somewhere in the country - Elisabeth Smart, Natalie Holloway, Haleigh Cummings, Polly Klaas, etc. When was the last time national media were camping out in front of the home of a black family with a missing child and reported on it like they did with Natalie Holloway or Elisabeth Smart? Has it ever happened?
I have to conclude that black children aren't worth as much as white kids to the general public. Why is this?

thats not it at all its just that crap like this happens in these sh*thole communities so often its no surprising anymore.
I have to agree that there is such a thing as Missing White Woman Syndrome unfortunately. A few months ago, I noticed a flyer on a lamp post talking about a kid who gone missing near my house. Thing was the kid was an Asian male, very short for a 14 year old, skinny, and was otherwise unattractive. I never found out what happened, especially because he was not mentioned on the local media at all. I do hope they found him. Every child deserves to be reunited with their parents.

What kind of Asian? East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) or Southeast Asian (Malay, Indonesian, Laos, etc.)

I don't think it has anything to do with black, it has everything to do with scumbags.
People don't care about scumbags anymore.
The child is innocent and the public knows that, the parents are filthy scumbags.
Scumbags come in every color of the rainbow.
I hate scumbags and I don't want 1 second of the news devoted to them.
Because the majority of people in the U.S. are white. News stories that matter the most to the public will get the most coverage.
The reality here is, white americans place a higher value on white lives than they do black lives.
As a white american myself, if I were given the choice to save a little white girl or a little black girl from certain death, I'd save the white girl first everytime. Sorry if that offends anyone but my people comes first and foremost.
I would say if this is such an issue for you then you should perhaps start your own local media outlet with an afro-centric focus. Otherwise, your tears fall on deaf ears.
Black people in general are considered worth less than white people.
That's absurd.
It's like you expect your neighbor to care as much for your child as you do and upon realizing they don't care about your child as much as you, you're offended by that and proclaim that your neighbor places a higher value on their child than yours.
People put their own first. I care about the well being of a white child first and a black child second.
