Why would anyone--any reasonable person--ever trust ANY Democrat OR Republican who's running for national office?

The "us vs. them / Dem vs. Repub" thing is just a distraction.

First thing any of them do--regardless of which of the two major parties we are talking about--is start licking the boots of some of the most vile human beings on the planet. The special interest groups who actually are in control, running things: multinational CEOs, heads of global banks and energy concerns, and lobbyists.

As long as you are voting for Dems OR Repubs at the national level, you are voting for politicians who are bought, sold and owned by people who without question do not have the best interests of this nation or its citizens at heart. In fact, they are looking at you and me and laughing while they screw us and take over the Western World.

And I'm not talking about the "1%." I'm talking about the ".001%"

I've always had a deal of respect for Mr. McCain and at the time (2008) thought he might have made an okay choice (in the "lesser of two evils" way all D vs. R POTUS elections are) until he let the RNC railroad him into having Palin as his running mate.

Exactly 100% the same as the True Believers in the other party.

Truth is, all of us who listen to or support any Dem or Repub candidate are deluded into thinking it makes a difference which party is in power or that members of either party have any real power or that politicians from either party are trustworthy. They are not.

Uh, okay, but that's like saying my toilet is more trustworthy than my sink. They both have traps full of disgusting funk that, at its best, simply keeps the smell from working its way into my home.

I think a small majority of people, about 1/3 or so, still have a hard time with the realization that people are inherently selfish. After all, that's how homo sapiens sapiens came to be via the evolutionary chain.

There's nothing altruistic in nature. Every living thing has a selfish desire to live at any and all cost.

Neither of them were Natural Born Citizens.

There must be a shortage.

Can't we just import some Natural Born Citizens?
