If they can not read in Spanish, maybe it is because they are only literate in Indigenous Mexican languages. Those languages still exist in Mexico.
I dunno. And their kids couldn't translate or read it to them..11-12 years old.
But they signed anyway because they were school forms or mandatory government forms.
Puts you in an odd situation here when you need forms signed and the parent, through their child, tells you they cannot read.
However not all Asian immigrants are the smartest with advanced degrees. Many just came to the US to work in restaurants. But they WORK.
True we don't need only smart people in this world -- but there is a limit to how much dirt cheap labor we need.
Like it or not, to support yourself and your family in tis country, it requires a higher education level than many of the lower IQ types can achieve. They end up requiring Medicaid and food stamps because they lack the education needed to earn sufficient incomes.
What's bad though is that fact that welfare programs reward them for each birth instead of trying to get them to live within their means. The group that can least afford to have babies is having the most.

In the city where I live, the vast majority of Illegal Immigrants reside in neighborhoods where the median household income is significantly lower than my city's average.
what does a overall IQ index have to do with anything in America?
A global ranking of IQ will have America not ranked at the top whether we have Hispanic immigrants or not.

I live in a place (Hong Kong) which is reputed to have the Highest Average IQ in the world.
The Leaders and the people here (also) make plenty of mistakes. But they do seem to be quicker to correct them, and there is a big respect for education.
I would like to seem MORE of both of these characteristics in the US.

Is lead poisoning a fraud? There are very many articles that have been written about lead poisoning -- so whether it's genetic or not is a moot point -- they may have lowered IQs due to their nutrition, lead levels and other factors.
This is what I'm saying. Environment is a much bigger factor for lower IQ than just pure genetics, which the person I was replying to seems to be implying that their "brownness" is the reason why they are less intelligent. You can see that certain people are genetically intelligent or stupid, but the sample size for that to be valid would have to be on an individual basis. When you compare entire populations, saying that they are genetically stupid is not valid at all. You know how the old saying goes, you are the product of your environment

Mexicans work too. To say that they all come here and sit on their ass and collect welfare is just being an ignorant racist at best. Who do you see toiling out in the sun with the landscaping, farming, and working in dangerous places like meatpacking plants? It's not Anglos, that's for sure. I have no idea why you seem to think all Asians work and all Hispanics do is pop out tons of babies to collect welfare
