Hmm. The car door is labeled "Federal Protection Service". Now, if only there was some sort of globe-spanning information network where one could look that sort of stuff up. Oh, wait...
All I had to do was go to the OP's link. Doesn't look like there were a whole lot of people there. It's not rocket science.
If there were HUNDREDS of people there, where are the pictures? I see about two dozen Tea Partiers with their knickers in a knot.

As I mentioned, i've never once laid eyes on a DHS security guard in any of the Federal buildings I spend or have spent time in.
It must be largely a "field" thing.
You haven't noticed these SUV's all over DC?, parked in front of every major government facility?
Perhaps you should pay better attention next time you're downtown.
the irony of your post overfloweth. we don't have a democracy. we are a republic.
Oh, dear lord, I thought we had put this idiocy to bed a month back. Here are two definitions of "democracy" from two different sources:
"A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives."
"government by the people; especially : rule of the majority"
The only idiots here are the idiots who somehow think "democracy" and "republic" are mutually exclusive. What said idiots do is conflate "democracy" with "direct democracy." We took about five laps around the park with another genius a month ago. It took about 30 pages before he finally conceded that, yes, the United States is both a democracy and a republic. Strive to be smarter than he was.

We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” - Barack Obama
Now really. What’s to handle? A bunch of white senior citizens aren’t likely to go feral, right? Comments at other websites are stating that the DHS had armed guards at other IRS protests in other towns across the country.
Forgetting about the Bush free-speech zones so quickly?
You need to look at your history.
