I'm sick of brain-dead conservatives whining about the "liberal media". There are so many options now for news-more than ever before in history. If you're unable to take in the news without moaning about media bias, I think you are a buffoon.

I have a wide range of views from conservative to liberal, and I have no problems finding news that is interesting, and opinions I agree with.

Still don't think there's a liberal agenda in the mainstream media ? Wake up! You guys are being manipulated by the establishment. Feel bad for Attkisson, but she must do what she believes is right and for that, she deserves a standing ovation.
Well if the media is reporting everything than it would be "liberal" with the term being they report everything. What exactly is a "Conservative" media? Restricted News? I wouldn't even consider Fox News as being Conservative until they chime in with their opinions which seems to be always.

And without objective reporting, doing investigative reports would be extremely difficult. I applaud Sharyl's decision and wish her all the best.

That is one of the weirdest comments ever. I am "emotionally invested" in her being known? Sorry but I couldn't care less about whether she is well-known, but the fact is that she is. She's had a long and successful career as a reporter at CBS, and does not need my help nor emotional investment.

If nothing else, she should be familiar due to the email hacking story about her from last year.
CBS News confirms Sharyl Attkisson's computer hacked - CBS News

Again anybody who has never heard of her is just not following the news. Nothing wrong with that, but if you don't follow the news you should not be voting. BTW I'm pretty sure that Sarah Palin has heard of Attkissson.

Gee, another ticked-off right winger somewhere? Who owns the "liberal" mainstream media? Oh yeah, "socialist" corporations. Nope, Missy has some other problem.
Of course, what the nation needs is a return to Cheney/Bush and a Republican corporate fascist government with Fox News as its mouthpiece. That democracy stuff is highly overrated.

That's what happens when you don't bury the Benghazi story fast enough.

What national event got more attention in the US media?

a.) GW Bush's White House telling 935 documented lies about Iraq, and then attacking Iraq for nothing. Then D. Cheney giving (his former corporation) Haliburton billions of dollars in no-bid US government contracts in Iraq.

b.) Bill Clinton lying about his personal sex life.

Answer: (b.)

Clinton's personal sex life lie received 100x more media attention than Bush's and Cheney's lies and actions.
(Even when Bush's actions killed 1,000's of US soldiers and killed 100,000 innocent Iraqi people for nothing.)

To say the US media has a liberal bias is preposterous and laughable.

Wow, what a crystalline example of liberal illogic. Up is down, down is up:

a) There were no lies about WMD by Bush. This has been debunked so thoroughly right here on CD that any CD poster who still believes it should seek immediate medical attention.
//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ll-should.html

b) Bill Clinton lied under oath in the context of a sexual harassment case. He lied to evade a law that he himself had signed. His law license was suspended for the lie, and he later settled the sexual harassment suit for over $800,000. Your description of Clinton's action is a half-truth, and another word for 'half-truth' is 'lie.'

First the lady quits due to "liberal bias" - no other possibilities, now Clinton lies continue to twist RW panties.

Debunked on C-D?? By RW dittoheads?? Y'all desperate righties with your criminal priorities are a trip.
Clinton lied about a sexual encounter.
Based on lies, the Cheney/Bush war killed 5000 young Americans.
Gawd, how you hate Clinton. Just can't tolerate lyin' can ya.

Two years prior to the war, Cheney met with Big Oil to divide up Iraqi oil revenues.
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/070208a.html
Excerpt: Bush’s first Treasury Secretary, Paul O’Neill, later described a White House interest in invading Iraq and controlling its vast oil reserves, dating back to the first days of the Bush presidency.

Oil revenues would easily pay for the war "estimated" at around $50 billion by Bushies.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...92D0PG20130314

Rummie knew just where the WMDs were stashed.
MARCH 30, 2003: Donald Rumsfeld: "We know where [the weapons of mass destruction] are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat".

The WMD inspectors told Bushie and the world that no WMDs were found, but that didn't stop the Shrub from waging war which is what he, Cheney, and their corporate masters wanted all along.
They were gonna have their little corporate-certified war no matter what, and they garnered public support with phony trumped-up "intelligence" using Colin Powell as their pawn.
5000 Americans and untold Iraqis dead in the name of corporate expansion.

Taking out Saddam allowed terrorists to subsequently proliferate there.
Jeez, those Clinton lies and the awful damage to our nation. Where's the fainting couch...
