Here's the challenge. People are so loyal to party over all else, that it enables both parties to continue right off the map. i.e. When Bush was in power Liberals we anti-war, anti-Patriot Act, anti-spying, anti-torture, anti-corporate, pro-whistleblower, pro-transparency, etc. It was their self identity. Now that they're in charge, they support any war, defend extending the Patriot Act, defend NSA spying, defend torture prisons, defend their corporate sponsors, demonize whistleblowers & defend the lack of transparency. What is proves, is that they don't have a problem with any of this stuff, so long as their party is perpetrating the crimes. Republicans are not better. When they grab the reigns again, they'll use every new precedent that Obama used to avoid the best interests of the people & expand on them saying "Well, the Democrats do it so.....". Until people abandon their party-first loyalty it will only get worse. You're either part of the problem or part of the solution & if you're a party loyalist (either party!), you're part of the problem.

The funny part is that most Americans are not loyal to one party or another. A small percentage self-identifies as strongly one party or the other. However, our elected leaders do not represent this because no one likes to vote for a fence sitter, so to speak, even if they themselves are the middle of the spectrum. I think it's a somewhat American sentiment, that goes along with the platitude of 'courage of your convictions'. Except generally, as Americans, we think courage of convictions means being completely one way or the other with no gray in between.

I know I'm a minority in my ideology because I am strongly Conservative. However, even I at times wish we did have an elected body that better represented the larger majority of Americans. On the other hand, I also see a large majority of Americans as apathetic to our political processes so there's that. It's a conundrum.

Reporters today are not really journalists.

They're propagandists.

I hope Attkisson didn't come up with that book's title. If she did, it looks like the book would be a long dreary screed.

If she didn't, some editor really needs to be fired.

The title says "I'm Sharyl Attkisson and I'm all pissed off, and here's why." The title says it all. Why bother buying the book just to read the details? We already know what she's going to say for free.

I wonder if Sharyl was already gone when Lara Logan slapped a 3rd degree burn on CBS with her phony report of Benghazi that aired on 60 Minutes. That one sent Lara out the door for good in less than 60 minutes, that's for sure.

Come on now, we all know Madcow and Blather are straight-up, fact-based, reporters of news!

I watch any and all news...and take what they say with a very, very skeptical attitude.

When a news-outlet pushes a positive story about one of the issues the government and media want to brainwashing the masses with....I KNOW they are lying.

Sharyl Attkisson, who resigned CBS News, takes us behind the scenes as to how politics of the media play into government politics.

Ex-CBS reporter’s book reveals how liberal media protects Obama | New York Post

Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington.: Sharyl Attkisson: 9780062322845: Amazon.com: Books

I certainly look forward to reading her book.
oooh, get ready for the Obamacrat machine to wage its next War on Woman: Sharyl Attkisson.

I can't wait to read her book. It'll make a great bookend for my other book by a CBS insider, "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News".
