For example in Mexico's constitution Chapter 2, Article 30, paragraph 2, states that you are a Mexican by birth if born on foreign territory, sons or daughters of Mexican parents born in national territory.

They are citizens for the same reason you are: they were born in the USA. And that is according to the US Constitution.

1. There is no such thing as an anchor baby.
2. The Constitution says that these childen who were born in the United States are citizens.
3. I bet you didn't take an oath of allegiance when you were born.

And citizenship by birthright does not require both parents to be citizens.

I don't agree with the SCOTUS decision, but they say the 14th amend. makes anchors US citizens the same as anyone else born here.
