No, that's not what it is. Get off the floor and stop laughing. Learn what scholarship is, what it means to the human knowledge base, and how it contributes to peace and prosperity. It's really not something to laugh at unless, of course, you don't have a clue what it is in the first place.

Good for Eva. Education for it's self is rare these days. Most have to get a degree to earn a living and few have the oportunity anymore to "just learn for the love of it".

Chicano studies? So now Taco making and pointy boot wearing and low rider knowledge is a degree? Hmmmm, I like this to the dumbing down of America. So this is what we get for letting in 12 million illegals? WOW Something Mexico can be proud of.

I think your thinking south of your border. You think with the wrong head son.

Case in point: "your" is a possessive pronoun (as in "your book" or "your opinion"); what you mean to say is the contraction "you're" which is you are...you are thinking south...etc.

IMO, this is one of the first markers of poor thinking skills. You cannot expect people to take your views seriously if you have never bothered to use the language effectively.

That's a lot of years living for free at your parents house with just enough money to afford to eat and commute to work. Oh, and don't get laid off or the interest will bury you.

Completely agree. I only borrowed $17k, but when my wife became a stay at home mom, I paid hers off first (another $17k). Still owe $2k and I'm pushing 50! I have driven beater cars my whole adult life because of it. A fair trade, and it paid off for me, but you don't want $60k in loans as a barista!

However, graduate school was a good deal; the degrees paid for themselves with fellowships, etc. The main cost is deferred income.
