The constitution enumerates rights that already exist and details limits of government (which most politicians do everything in their power to ignore), it doesn't grant rights.

That should read..."like recognizing that a portion of the population believes that god exists", which is where freedom of religion enters into the equation.

There's pretty much no such thing as religiously neutral politicians.

You either have politicians that serve God or that serve money

You either have public who worships God or who worships government

Do you think it's OK for religion to effect politics and policies?

Absolutely, NO!

Religion has no place in matters of state.

I think some politicians in Iran are pedophiles.

Such a state has never existed

Secular Humanism is still a religion whether if it has ceremonies on Sunday or not

It's still a value system, and belief system about the purpose of life and perception of behaviors.

If you accept the First Amendment I don't know how you can find religious references and motivations as unacceptable political speech.

If you're rights don't come from God they come from government

Because anti-theists have turned a reference made IN A LETTER about a state run religion, that we should have freedom FROM religion instead of freedom OF religion.
