Tasers are not totally effective -

Today, on CNN, there was a news item where a Rothweiler (sp?) was attacking someone - a police officer used their taser and shot the dog - once, twice - no effect

A perp, high on meth - tasers often are ineffective

etc

Are you a police officer ? I have three in my family and they will tell you that a taser does not always stop everyone.

Not sure why we're even playing this hypothetical game since it wouldn't happen and it has nothing to do with if we should have a death penalty or not. In this case it would be self-defense though and I don't have a problem with that.
