This doesn't jeopardize national security as much as it jeopardizes US foreign relations. The nations that didn't already know about it, some nations were even helping, allegedly in cooperation to obtain info legally on their own civilians. Using the same loop hole the US Government was using

yep the criminals in High positions want to make sure their shams n scams don't come to Light, but their all good if it's to be used to prey on the sheepil down the road...

Have Clapper tell them like he told Congress

"No, we are not collecting data on Americans"

All Clapper has to do is replace one word there.
I'm sure everyone will believe him because after all, he is with the government.
