If you're a single male you can't even get welfare. Food stamps are all you can get and even then you'd have to be dirt poor, even in California. Basically, they'll make sure you don't starve to death but that's about it.

This is all part of pushing renewable energy they are so fond of. Solar and wind is expensive so the only way to get the power distributor to use renewable energy is to mandate it. These mandates exist in every state AFAIK. These mandates allow the producers of this power to sell it at a much higher rate than even retail cost or many of them buy these credits.

I've commented on this numerous times before becsue so many people focus on the subsidies, the subsidies are significant but small potatoes when you atart looking at the cost of the mandates. At this point you don;t see those costs reflected in your bill much because the renewables make up a small percentage of the overall amount of power.

and why not? If you are only qualified for a min wage job and it helps you stay off the government dole why is it not a good program? Do you think the government should assure everyone $15 an hour? Someone has to do those mindless jobs...How about free cell phones? Everyone should be entitled to one, right? For those who need help, there is plenty out there, whether it be the government, churches or other programs. For those who can work and for whatever reason seem to be stuck in min paying jobs, I say, there is something wrong with those people. A decent resume, a good hair cut and a pleasing detainer will get people jobs, if they want them.

Do liberals seriously claim that regressive energy mandates are acceptable? Do they actually say that to poor people?

??? A childless adult earning minimum wage who lives with other poor people doesn't get a free cell phone. What help is out there? How does a burger flipper ave a decent resume. What if the burger flipper has a college degree? Wouldn't his resume suck whether the degree was on the resume or not?

Don't worry. The government is coming up with new ways to "help" every day.

So you WILL qualify for some sort of government handout...after all they want your vote and will spend as much of your money as needed to buy it.
