Ok but

But the new law's rules don't apply to the vast majority of small businesses. The employer mandate, which forces firms to start providing insurance in 2014, pertains only to companies with at least 50 full-time workers.

That's a tiny fraction of small businesses.

This means two things for small businesses: Companies with 40-45 employees won't be doing much hiring and companies with 55-60 employees are going to be laying people off (or cutting hours.)

Go ObamaCare!

I think opponents are over hyping this stuff about this being a gov't takeover of U.S health care. I mean Obamacare isn't a single payer or public option system.

Go ObamaCare!
Only for the time being, then employers would stop being scared little boys and start hiring again or putting hours back when they realize the world didn't come to an end

I've worked for a small company (actually, more than just one) with some 40 employees or less. Because of the size of the company, the work force was actually hired and paid by a third party. An, agency. Of course, that agency doesn't just handle one company's workforce. So, they will be required to comply with the healthcare. And, the cost of that will be passed on to their customers. So, there will be some of the small businesses that will still be greatly affected by it. I do not know just what percentage it comes out to, but from truck drivers to service companies, and even contractors. If they use a third party to take care of employee's payroll and records, they're going to get an extra cost nailed on, because the workers are actually employed by the agency. So, it will affect more small business than that report states.

The business I work for has 10 employees, all provided with great health insurance. I don't think this will be effecting us at all, except us grunts who will now have our employer provided health insurance taxed

In a couple of years, the government will start taxing us for the air we breath. This is the kind of crap that people were trying to escape when this nation was founded.

Like many times throughout modern American history, this too will come to pass and people will wonder what the big fuss was ever about. This kind of whining from the far right in the US is very standard
