Well, outside of current laws they wouldn't be. It is/are the laws and their breaking of them that makes them criminals. If it were legal to smoke/possess/sell/grow marijuana then they would not be criminals. It's like asking "Are immigrants that come in/remain in the United States when they aren't supposed to, illegal? Yes, mostly because of the existing laws and their obviously ignoring such laws. The existence of the laws makes their actions illegal. perhaps you should have asked "Are marijuana users wrong" or "Is it wrong for people to use marijuana"? Personally I couldn't care less. Don't use it, never wanted to.

What was the vote distribution? Not that it matters. I don't care who votes YEA, or NAY. I just have a feeling pretty much everyone voted YEA, because all states were against the drug, or 'poison' as they called it. The push for making it illegal started about 30 years before the tax act.

The dems vs repubs thing has nothing to do with the original question.

True, the discussion is about people who are guilty of drug related crimes, and surprisingly many posters have confessed to having been less than law abiding.

Hey... I've never killed anyone, robbed, stolen, raped, or molested anyone! Sure I've been in a few brawls, and had to defend myself accordingly, but that is because I ain't somebody's punching bag. I've also never sold, nor distributed cannabis, due to it's illegal status! It's simply not worth the legalities, as while decriminalized in my state to a degree, selling any amount is a felony. Now should it become legal, well then I may just have to buy stock in that industry! Until then.... no. The bottom line is it is for personal use, and none other! I'm not harming anyone....period. I don't drive when using it, nor do I do it before or during work hours. If that still makes me a bad guy... well...f*** it! Nobody is perfect.

There's no test for bath salts, genius.
