It's just another word for tax. Democrats love to tax.
So... the current law was signed in by Bush (R).

The original law was signed in by Eisenhower (R).

But it's all just a plan by the democrats to TAX us. Right.

Statistically speaking from national averages you are not correct. There are obviously exceptions to every rule, but the facts from national statistics say that you would be better off today if you had majored in something other than political science. Stop using personal experiences and start looking at broader statistics. A sample of one person (you) is not a valid basis for forming an opinion.

How has your political science education helped you in owning and running a marketing firm?

The notion that "private is more efficient than public" translates to "perfect" in your mind is laughable.

And would you rather a 'pets.com' be public? At least in the private sector something like pets.com can go out of business. If pets.com were a government project we would be supporting it with tax dollars to this day just to keep it running.

Private is not perfect and Goverment surely does not know what is best for us.

So what is the solution?

uh... well, according to the article you just posted, they did the opposite.

Quote:
Last week, House Republicans passed a bill that would prevent loan rates from doubling to 6.8 percent, from the current 3.4 percent, when the existing bill expires July 1.
The only real issue seems to be the duration of the legislation.

Yes, that is the reason.

The right wingers hate the idea of the lower classes getting an education, and thus taking some of their power.

Republicans are just fascists in disguise.

Nah, it's an evil republican plot to keep kids from getting student loans....if you believe the OP, whom also claims to be a centrist.

The wacky partisan claims flying around are keeping me thoroughly entertained. Can we get to the cries of communism and then break down into frothing name calling of reptard and dummycrat?

lol, bob, you are right on cue. Obama is also going to speak at a college and spewing these lies and promote hatred toward republicans based on these lies.
