The title askes the question ...

Why are words like "socialism", "capitalism", and "marxism" still used?

Answer is the same as ...
dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc. are all still hear and alive today, and controlled by people.

But the difference is ( "socialism", "capitalism", and "marxism" ) systems all want to enslave
all people ... to bow down, and be ruled by them ! ! !

"Fascism will come to America waving a flag and carrying a cross"
Upton Sinclair

Call it fascism or crony capitalism but when it comes to the economic theory that describes the U S the best I pick these. I also do think we have some Marxism " redistribution of wealth" and if you look at the the 12 points our country has embraced 4 of them on both sides of the aisle.

I didn't know that socialism, communism, and Marxism had expiration dates. Did the USSR somehow corner the market on socialism? This is just more revisioning drivel.

People who loosely throw out words like marxism and communism have never read a any political science or philosophy books, probably because they feel the devil wrote them

Heh... is that a confirmation of what they're teaching in public schools and colleges these days? Philosophy is a belief in something; mostly theory. Political science encompasses all forms of government. There are good philosophers and lame ones.

It's getting old to blame religion and conservatism to excuse your unbending belief in failed doctrines. Communism/Marxism has been repackaged to make it seem like a new way of thinking. It's being sold to you under the guise of progressivism. It's a fine feeling to think of yourself as a progressive. It makes you feel like you're changing destiny and progressing.

Unfortunately, the end game is the same as it has been for centuries. The boys at the top are playing the chattel for fools, while patting the sheep on their backs and encouraging them. Progressive's to their ideologies are no better than slaves to a master.

Of course I'm accusing you of being a progressive. I could be mistaken, but I doubt it.
