It's people like YOU that see it that way and have a problem. Seeing couples in an interracial/ethnic marriage doesn't register with the majority of normal people. If they are "looking" all they see are two people.
I would suggest that you prepare yourself for the change that society is going through and will continue to go through. Interracial/ethnic marriages are increasing, and will continue to increase. And some day your pasty white mashed potato offspring or their offspring may bring home someone who looks like a baked potato, get married and make some beautiful little potato croquettes.
