In the past three election cycles, the Center for Responsive Politics' database shows about $474,000 in political donations by individuals listing "IRS" or "Internal Revenue Service" as their employer. This money heavily favors Democrats: $247,000 to $145,000, with the rest going to political action committees. (Oddly, half of those GOP donations come from only two IRS employees, one in Houston and one in Annandale, Va.)
IRS employees also gave $67,000 to the PAC of the National Treasury Employees Union, which in turn gave more than 96 percent of its contributions to Democrats. Add the PAC cash to the individual donations and IRS employees favor Democrats 2-to-1.
The Cincinnati office where the political targeting took place is much more partisan, judging by FEC filings. More than 75 percent of the campaign contributions from that office in the past three elections went to Democrats. In 2012, every donation traceable to employees at that office went to either President Obama or liberal Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio.
But of course those employees in Cincinnati, Washington DC, and beyond were merely rearranging their "workload."
Only a slimeball liberal of low-intelligence or a total idiot would believe the tripe coming out of Barack Obama's lying, unethical Administration.
Loads of rank and file donors within the ranks of the IRS and 118 visits to the White House by IRS leadership and Barack Obama never heard a peep about this?
Don't sugar coat it Aero... Tell us what you really think!
Personally, I could not agree more.
I'm not sure what bothers me worse. The actual targeting of conservatives by Barack Obama's cronies or the losers who harbor liberal ideology and gleefully turn a blind eye to the targeting of US citizens by their government for holding conservative beliefs.
So employees of the IRS are not allowed to donate to democrats of their own personal money?
That's not the point. The point is that it is not possible to donate one's hard earned dollars to a political candidate or political cause and then turn around and be 100% apolitical and 100% objective when performing an analysis of groups whose political perspective is contrary to your own. Anyone who denies this is a fundamentally disingenuous at best, and a total moron at worst.

So anyone who works for a government agency should be restricted from giving money (or effort) to any party in any way?

How was his comment a deflection? Are you saying it is impossible for anyone to not have a political point of view? Well that is definitely true, only a moron would think the people working at the IRS had no political point of view whatsoever.
If any questioning your pronouncements is this horrible thing, that's not really a great way to get people on your side.
Does that include voting in any way, since some one cannot vote for a candidate and be completely impartial?
Voting is every citizens obligation. One person, one vote. That's everyone's right.
Donating money is a completely different issue altogether. When one donates money to a political cause, they are doing more than casting a vote. They are taking it a step further to presumably help push forth a cause they believe in......In this case Democratic ideals.
It's not possible to give money to a political party that you seek to help win the Presidency, and then turn around and be apolitical, objective, and impartial in performing an analysis on the tax exempt status of a political ideology that seeks to make your candidate.....and your donation.......null and void.
It's pure nonsense to suggest otherwise.
