Oh hell no. There's no way I'd just hand over the market to them. They're definitely not deserving. 100,000+ Americans are killed a year from prescription drug use. They're more criminal than marijuana dealers in some cases.
So what should be the solution? Curbing the society of drugs, or making drugs easier to get for society?
The latter will never happen. Even if legalized, they will continue to be sold by drug dealers because companies are not going to take the risk of being sued because someone wrecked their car or killed their child while high as a kite. The only thing that changes if you legalize drugs is open marketing of drugs. Any attempts to regulate the quality or efficacy will be futile because no drug manufacturer is going to take on recreational drugs (why do you think they don't tackle medical marijuana now?). There's too much risk.
Will that stop if we legalize drugs? Will they, suddenly, start working a job to earn the money to buy their drugs? Nope. They'll continue knocking off the 7-Eleven to get their drugs.

Do you believe society can curb it's drug problem, though?
