Actually, I don't care. I just want equal justice. If it's a hate crime one way, it should be a hate crime the other way. We immediately know the race of the people in situations like Trayvon. In this case, no race was mentioned in the article. That was my main point. The media are enablers to our divisive culture in the manner in which they report certain things.
Hate crimes require PROOF of a bias-motivation. I am unaware of the unequal application of bias-motivated enhancement laws when there is PROOF of such a criminal motivation.
Are you?
I find it very interesting (by interesting I mean disturbing) that you "don't care" whether there is proof or not. For me, "equal justice" - or any kind of justice for that matter - required proof.
I was focusing on the media enablers that skew their reporting that steer the country towards divisiveness. When an event doesn't fit that narrative, then they hide details.
I wasn't thinking of the media. I was thinking about just general day to day relations.
Legacy of rotten parents and the takes a village to raise a child mentality.
Rotten parents not raising their children right is one problem. However, on the "it takes a village", well, this is how I look at it. The "it takes a village" adage only works when EVERYONE is looking out for the community. If one member doesn't do his part, it can cause a problem. It takes a village AND a two parent household. It takes the parents raising the kid the right way, and it takes the community to keep crime under control.
New Jersey has strict gun laws already. I was just saying that Illinois is that only state that doesn't allow CCW. Doesn't New Jersey allow it as of 2013?
this is just an isolated incident. There is no racism here. There is no reason to assume there was a hate crime commited. The youth's actions were because of their undiagnosed post slavery stress disorder. The youths did this because of centuries of oppression.
I made my previous post to point out that Whitey wanted/wants segregation FOR VERY GOOD REASONS!
I'm white and I don't want segregation.
