Now why would you move to a State with lax gun laws? The horrors
Seeing that I don't own any guns, I really don't care what a state's gun laws are. I lived the past decade in Oregon and can't wait to return there because there is nothing better than Oregon.
stycotl LOl my son is 32 stands 6'4 to my 5'10 is faster than I am, a Lt in the National Guard has his own house his own son and better guns than I do.....
Now I don't if know of you are a PC fool like that other poster, and many more here are but if you are you will just end up in pandora's box too.
It's a riot you think I could beat up my adult son.... Or would, but during open carry summer I do plan to beat on some PC for their own good. I will be in a leather bike jacket wearing a cop lid with leather chaps, a gun a stun gun and a club and just for kicks..
I just figure if the PC are going to whine and cry they should have a better reason.
You see this FOOL is already in the box and he ain't ever comin' out
urbanlife78 This user is on your Ignore List.
That's how you deal with a FOOL who is on a pipe dream.
Gun Free Zones are nothing more than Killing Zone made for the PC by the PC and the PC are plain fools. Total Losers.
Now all that remains for me to know is if you too are PC sheep and should be in the box or not.
So you don't give a damn about rights unless they apply only to you?

Quite the opposite, I care about rights, but if a state has laws that doesn't effect me, then I don't pay much attention to them. If I moved to a state and didn't drive, I wouldn't concern myself with the driving laws in that state.

Unless you are making the differentiation between rights vs privileges, then you are indeed ignoring rights unless they apply to you. If you are trying to make that differentiation, then by all means, explain why you aren't concerned about privileges that don't apply to you, but are still important, everyday privileges (such as driving).

There is a background check that one must do when buying a gun and often times a wait time because of it. I don't care what that wait time is because I am not buying a gun. Does that make more sense for you?

I don't own any printing presses, but I sure am concerned that the right of the press be respected. But then, for me, it isn't all just about me.
Well then the guy who sold him that gun should be sitting next to him in prison.
Are you aware... There is at least one website that sells weapons to anyone... "ANYONE", regardless of who they are?
The feds are trying to track them down, but they are using a system, designed for the US Military, that does not leave any tracks, to hide their locations. You can buy nearly anything if you have the money. Not in their catalogue are nuclear weapons, and I would expect that battleships are limited. But, anything from a .22 Derringer to a diesel-powered submarine, to shoulder-launched missiles, etc... If you have the money, they will supply you. They don't want to know if you're an upstanding citizen, a criminal, a terrorist, or a revolutionary. They want your money, and will get the goods to you. Weapons, ammunition, explosives, you name it. Pay for it and you've got it. And, they will deliver it within days of confirmation of payment, often in less time than the waiting period for you to buy a gun legally.
If the government has not been able to stop them, I dare you to do so. Go ahead and pass more legislation, they don't care. Legislation does not put them out of business. The more restrictions you put on guns, the more justification you give them to exist and do business, and the more money they make from what they sell. And, the more profitable you make it, the harder it will be to get rid of them. Instead, you'll have more suppliers springing up.
So, effectively, you're faced with the exact same argument as legalizing drugs in order to put the cartels out of business.
I've just become aware of a piece of software that is available to anyone. You, me, anyone. And, with it, you can surf the internet without leaving any tracks that you've been there. That means, I would be able to set up a site where I could deal with weapons, and no one would be able to track me down. I could live on the same block at you do and you would never know. I don't know that it was developed for the military or not, but it goes beyond weapons. Along with the rest of the software, it's going to be updated and improved with time, as long as there is a demand for it. It can be used to get into government sites (Wikileaks? Annonymous? Lolzsec?) without being spotted. But, it could also be used to obtain or spread child porn. I do not have it on my computer, but good, bad, or indifferent, it's out there, and it's available, and I don't think it's going to go away. And, it can serve to make weapons transactions untraceable.
Add to that, I also just found out that I can get a firearm in less than 24 hours, that not only does not have a serial number on it (never had one, in violation of federal law, I believe), but also does not have a manufacturer's name on it. Not that any of this was removed from it. It never had it. No serial number or manufacturer's name had ever been put on it. Now, trace it back to it's origin and try to stop it. All available for less money than buying a weapon at a gun store.
No offense to the OP but don't encourage them to move out of Cali..... When they do they bring their Liberal mentality with them. Colorado is a prime example.
I think the majority of us up north are conservative. We just have no representation in Sacramento and LA. Most of the Bay area is probably liberal too, they seem to like crowded, concrete spaces with lots of rules and regs. We need to split this state in half.
