He's still a hero. She, on the other hand, is a screwed up nutcase.

What's with the gay comment? We know nothing about this woman's sexual orientation.

And how is the thread title misleading? It says that a retired Navy SEAL has come out as a transgendered women. That's what the linked article is about - a "man", Chris Beck, who served 20 years in the Navy as a SEAL, and who, now retired, has come out as a transgendered women and is in the process of transforming (hormonally and physically) into a women, Kristin Beck.

Never said that... I said he wasn't a "pregnant man." He was/is a man externally, I guess (not sure of all the details), but still has a uterus - so on the inside he is still technically female, hence the ability to get pregnant. I'm not an expert, just saying how I perceived that whole issue.

Why does my opinion matter, and how does it prove any point? Don't recall making a statement in either direction here, so are you just projecting your assumptions on me or what?

There is no need to call him a "her"
Doesn't matter what you think, or even what they technically are... the "need" is simple respect, by calling them what they perceive themselves to be (particularly if they've had a sex change operation).

Or don't, if you wanna be a jerk about it.

So... did he have the parts or get "fixed?" I don't quite understand it. For me, the term is too broad. It covers people that feel like they should be the other sex while others have the parts but "look" like the other sex. I'm confused.

Too much authoritarian discipline can only lead to feminism.

His father feminized him.
