His son simply met the woman of his dreams and fell in love. I don't understand why people are asking, why, and not congratulating the young, professional couple. It's unfortunate that race continues to rear it's ugly head, yet once again.
Hopefully however, in the near future, these relationships won't garner so much negative attention.

His son didn't marry a "black woman", his son married a beautiful woman and I hope they have a great marriage. Nobody would give it a second thought if he married a white woman, I don't see why this is any different.

Although I agree that it shouldn't, race still matters in our current society. Hopefully society will finally move past these so called "differences," and simply learn to embrace the shared commonalities.
Is it really that important to shout from the rooftops that someone got married? Who cares, their life, their family, their choice, their business and everyone not involved should keep their opinions to themselves.

I think it's important to highlight, especially since McCain and family usually get a bad rap for hating blacks.
Just another reason to respect McCain. He obviously raised his kids in a positive environment.
