Hello future unemployed OWS twit.
Well at least the twit in question could read having chosen the school because it offered here the best financial aid program, a solid education in her desired major area of study AND because it offered her an opportunity to live in a major city and attend a school that she felt would enrich her life. Personally the twit is a pretty well informed, and centered young individual unlike her detractors.

what do you think besides the fact that she applied to a school without even researching it thoroughly.

also, I didn't know black people played lacrosse in the USA.
A lot of people think hockey is national sport of Canada but, it's Lacrosse. Jim Brown played Lacrosse (and football) at Syracuse but, of course he's known for football.

I'd do it, if that school were the best choice for me (location, programs offered, scholarships, etc). In fact, I was the "minority" at my college - seeing as it was a Methodist-founded school, with majority Christian students, and I am Jewish. Doesn't bother me any, since I'm not afraid of people who are different from myself! Also grew up in extremely diverse neighborhoods, so it's nothing new really.
